Philmus Consulting Ltd aims to help businesses navigate their way through the often complex and detailed regulatory environment. The company’s proprietor worked for twenty years in local authority trading standards and held supervisory positions relating to business compliance, consumer contractual rights and risk assessment.
Phil Musgrave holds a BA honours degree in business, the diploma in trading standards, a post-graduate diploma in journalism and the Chartered Institute of Marketing professional diploma. She is currently an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and was previously a member of the Trading Standards Institute.
During his career in Trading Standards, he has acted as home authority liaison officer for a number of large firms including Kwik Fit, Solicitor’s Property Centres, Muller Dairies, Pork Farms Palethorpes, Eden Vale, Rea Valley Foods, Scottish Midland Cooperative Society and Milk Link.
As a trading standards professional, Phil not only pursued enforcement action against a wide range of company’s, large and small, but she also assisted these company’s to prepare and audit legal due diligence procedures.
Phil has expert knowledge of a wide range of trade compliance law including, food labelling and standards, consumer credit, property mis-descriptions, consumer rights and contractual, Product Safety, package travel, pricing of goods, intellectual property, trade descriptions and legal metrology.
He can also assist firms wishing to develop marketing plans through the use of market analysis and modelling.
